Paris Saint-Germain seal Cavani signing

The Uruguayan has completed his move to the Parc des Princes from Napoli on a five-year deal
for an estimated €63 million fee
Paris Saint-Germain have completed the €63 million signing of striker Edinson Cavani from Napoli on a five-year
deal.
The Uruguay international has long been linked with an exit from Stadio San Paolo, with the likes of Real Madrid,
Chelsea and Manchester City all previously linked with his signature.
However, PSG had leaped to the front of the queue over the past few weeks and the Ligue 1 champions have now
announced the successful capture of the 26-year-old.
"I am very happy to announce the arrival of Cavani for five years," club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi told reporters.
"It was not easy. Everyone wanted Cavani but he is here at PSG and I'm very happy about that."
Cavani added: "I am very happy to be a part of this project and to be here and I have to thank everyone who
worked on this - my agents, Leonardo, everyone who mmade this transfer possible.
"I come with a lot of confidence and a lot of desire to do well. It's a very motivating, ambitious project. I'm a player
who always wants to win. It's one of the top clubs in the world."
Cavani moved to Napoli from Palermo back in 2010 and developed into a key player with the club, helping them to
the 2012 Coppa Italia and a second-placed finish in Serie A last term.
He began his professional career with Danubio in 2005 and first moved to Europe two yers later.

Royal baby news: Kate Middleton and Prince William's baby to be born "by the end of the week"

Camilla has revealed the royal family hopes William and Kate's baby will be born "by the end of the week."
During a visit to a children's hospice yesterday, she remarked: "We don't know what's going to happen. We're all waiting at the end of a telephone. "I hope by the end of the week he or she will be there."
Prince Charles and Camilla started
their annual summer tour of Devon and Cornwall yesterday in the popular tourist town of Bude. Many mothers brought their babies to meet them - giving them ample opportunity to greet newborns before Kate gives birth.
Trudi Lindsay, from Bude, said she
was "delighted" her three-week-old daughter Ellie-Mae could see the royals.
Mrs Lindsay said: "I said 'You have got one of these coming soon' and
Charles replied 'Hopefully', then he laughed.
"He was very good with Ellie-Mae, he touched her cheek. I still can't believe Prince Charles touched my baby's cheek.
"It is really exciting to have them here in Bude, especially as the weather is so nice."
Jenny Dawe, 62, who works in a local shop, showed the royals her selection of cards.
"I said 'You will need a new baby card soon' and they laughed," Mrs Dawe said.
New parents Poppy and Paul Steenbrought their five-day-old son Lowen to meet Charles and Camilla.
Mr Steen, 33, said: "We've had quite a busy few days. Lowen wasn't supposed to be born today but he came on Wednesday and I had to deliver him at home.
"The midwife did joke that he migh arrive on the same day as Kate's and we might get a commemorative coin but Lowen wasn't waiting for that." Senior royals will be the first to know when Kate is admitted to the Lindo wing at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington in the early stages of labour.

Trayvon Martin Verdict I'm Ashamed to Wear U.S. Flag Says Black Olympic Boxer

U.S. Olympic boxer Terrell Gausha is so disgusted over the George Zimmerman verdict ... he's vowing to never sport the red, white and blue again.
Gausha -- who boxed in the
2012 London Summer Games --
started wearing the American flag on his boxing trunks after his Olympic run ... but tells TMZ he's done with that now in the wake of Zimmerman's acquittal in the killing o Trayvon Martin.Terrell adds, "How can I wear my stars and stripes proudly in a country where they make a big deal out of Mike Vick fighting dogs; but not a young innocent black male's life."Gausha added, "When I represented my country in the
Olympics I was proud to wear my
flag. I even wore it on my head on
the way to the ring. What happened this weekend was a slap in the face."
Gausha has turned pro -- so he's not eligible for the U.S. team in 2016 -- but doesn't sound like he's
interested ... telling us he refuses to rep a "nation with so much racism and hatred."

Michael Jackson Billion Dollar Man

Michael Jackson could have raked in as much as $1.5 billion had he lived ... at least that's what an entertainment money man told jurors today in MJ's wrongful death case.
Accounting guru Arthur Erk testified ... Jackson could have earned minimum $1.1 billion if he performed a worldwide concert and showcased his music in Las Vegas.  And Erk felt if ticket prices were high enough, the figure would soar to $1.5 bil by the time Michael turned 65.There are a couple of problems.  First, MJ never planned a worldwide tour.  The "This Is It" tour was limited to London. Second, the family is seeking more than $40 billion.Another interesting thing ... Erk said he deducted what he felt Jackson would have spent between age 50 and age 65, when he hypothetically would have retired -- $134 million.Oh the struggles of living on a budget.

Lindsay Lohan to Oprah $2 Mil For My Thoughts!

Lindsay Lohan's guts don't come
cheap, because we found out she's
spilling them to Oprah at a cost of
around $2 million.Sources close to
Lindsay tell us ... The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has been negotiating with Lindsay for 4 months. The plan -- an 8-part docu-series about Lindsay's struggles, her career and her plans for the future -- but we're guessing it's mostly about her struggles. It's a better deal for Lindsay than just taking her top off. For that ... Playboy paid her a measly $1 mil.
Ironically ...Lindsay's latest rehab stint may have scored her more cash, because of the drama and interest created around almost going to jail, firing her lawyer, going to Betty Ford, bailing from Betty Ford ... and on and on.  Sources tell us ... Lindsay actually signed the deal at Betty Ford.Lindsay got some perks from Oprah as well -- as in TWO fully- paid assistants and a stylist Substance abuse can pay handsomely -- Who knew?

Justin Bieber Hey Selena ... Beer Me

So much for Selena Gomez being a
good influence on Justin Bieber ...
we obtained a photo of the
underage singer boozing at a 4th of July party in L.A. -- and Selena just stood by and watched. The photo was snapped at a Hollywood Hills house -- where the drinking age is still 21 -- and as you can see, Bieber is cradling a beer bottle (Dos Equis to be exact) ... squishing his crotch against Selena.
As we first reported, Selena gave Bieber another shot ... reuniting with him on the condition he clean up his act, and cut the antics -- pot smoking, speeding and bucket peeing -- with his buddies.Apparently, 20- year-old Selena -- like almost every single college-aged kid -- is still cool with underage drinking though. As for his taste in brew -- Justin Bieber doesn't always drink beer, but when he does ... he prefers to wear shorts made out of salvaged traffic cones.Stay thirsty my friends.

Carly Rae Jepsen No Excuse, That Was the Worst First Pitch Ever

Carly Rae Jepsen spent hours, upon hours practicing her pitching skills before executing what is arguably the WORST first pitch in baseball history.
Just kidding! She didn't practice at all -- at least that's what she implied to our photog. If you missed it .CRJ threw the first pitch at a Tampa Bay Rays game Sunday and it was HORRIBLE x1000.So when our photog asked Carly, at LAX today if she practiced beforehand ... she said, "Clearly."But watch the clip ... something makes us think she was really trying to say -- "No. No I did not." Now here's 22 more terrible pitches, including Mariah Carey and Baba Booey's. After watching, we're convinced Carly still takes the cake ...

Chris Brown -- Probation Revoked

That was quick -- the judge just
REVOKED Chris Brown's probation in the Rihanna beating case, but the singer will remain a free man ... for now.Brown showed up at court today to fight the L.A. County D.A.'s motion to revoke his probation in the wake of hit-and-run charges stemming from a car accident in May ... but the judge granted the motion anyway, paving the way for a probation violation hearing in August. If the judge determines Chris violated his probation, the singer could be
sentenced to 4 years in prison. In the meantime, Brown has been released on his own recognizance.

Rooney would be a great signing for Chelsea, admits Hazard

With the unsettled striker's Old
Trafford future still in question,
the Blues' Belgian ace reckons
he would be a perfect fit at
Stamford Bridge Chelsea winger Eden Hazard believes Wayne Rooney would be a "brilliant" signing for the Blues, if they can tempt Manchester United into selling to one of their closest rivals.
Despite United's repeated insistence their star man is not for sale, the protracted transfer saga of Rooney looks set to continue over the summer, with new manager David Moyes admitting he will be playing
second fiddle to Robin van Persie next season.
Rooney has been linked with Chelsea since it was made clear towards the end of last season that the England international was questioning his future at Old Trafford.
"Rooney, Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid, [Daniele] De Rossi [at Roma]. We've heard all the names. It's not up to us who comes in, but it's exciting," Hazard told the Independent.
"Rooney would be a brilliant signing. He's a great player who has the experience, and he's still only young, at 27. He's got a few years left to play. But it's not up to me. It's not my decision." Hazard was one of Chelsea's most influential players last season and one of their marquee summer signings at £32m.
And the 22-year-old, who was shortlisted for the PFA Player of the Year award last season, says new boss Jose Mourinho has told him to be more ambitious. "He wants me to try things and that, if I do that, I can do something special this year. I told him I wanted to do l myself justice," he continued. "With Mourinho we know what he is.
With him in charge, we win matches and ultimately trophies. His arrival is important. But it won't be him who actually goes out there and wins the title. "He'll do everything he can to put that in place, to create the environment for us, but it'll be the players who have to deliver the trophies. "We have to concentrate on what he wants of us and, if we all give 100 per cent, we have a real chance of
winning the title."

Zimmerman Juror: 'I Have No Doubt That George Feared For His Life'

One of the six jurors in the George Zimmerman trial said Monday that she was certain Zimmerman feared for his life during the confrontation with 17-year-old Trayvon Martin that ended in the teenager's fatal shooting in February 2012. "I have no doubt that George feared for his life in the situation he was in at the time," the woman known as Juror B37 told CNN's Anderson
Cooper.
"I think both were responsible for
the situation they had gotten
themselves into," the juror added. "I think they both could have walked away." Martin Literary Management announced Monday that it was representing B37 and her husband, who is an attorney. The names of the jurors have not been released due to a court anonymity order, but during jury selection it was disclosed that
B37 works in an unspecified
management position and has two
adult children.
But agency head Sharlene Martin
released a statement late Monday
saying she was no longer
representing the juror and that the juror had dropped the book idea.
