36 percent admit to cursing, punching their computers

In most human transactions, I believe I am lied to around two-thirds of the time. Perhaps you too have such a suspicion.
Perhaps that suspicion will be confirmed by the survey I am about to spread before your eyes.
This survey sought to discover just how many Americans abuse their computers. Personal methods of abuse were also analyzed.
You will surely be stunned into punching your temples several times when I tell you that 36 percent of people admitted "using profanity, screaming, and shouting, or by striking it with a fist or other object" in the last six months.
Yes, only 36 percent. That cannot possibly be true. The figure must be in the very high 90s.
These respondents are simply ashamed of their flaccidity.
Computers malfunction. Every time I see that rolling rainbow-colored beach ball thingy I want to talk to it sternly. This is shortly before I do. I use a mixture of Polish and English, with the occasional touch of ancient Greek.
The respondents to this survey -- which was performed on behalf of computer memory experts Crucial.com -- claimed the emotion at the heart of these reactions was frustration.
A fulsome 65 percent confessed to this. A mere 10 percent admitted to anger. Oddly, this was the very same proportion that confessed to feeling helpless.
You might think that these troubled humans would at least consider what it was that caused their computers to let them down; 46 percent believe it's malware, which seems a touch optimistic.
Sixteen percent crept closer to the truth. Yes, they had absolutely no idea why their computer was playing up.
Then there were the 12 percent who clearly participated in this survey while lying on a chaise-lounge in their psychiatrist's office.
These were the fine people who blamed themselves.
Some companies might react to this information by immediately raising the psychological allowance in the health benefits they offer.
For its part, Crucial.com has got together with the mild-mannered Lou Ferrigno to launch a competition to find the finest frustrated computer-inspired roar.
I am not lying. You are invited
to submit a 30-second video of yourself losing your equilibrium at your computer at toughoncomputers.com. You could win $5,000 to go toward your shrink costs.
This, of course, would be a very interesting and dangerous video, should you be one of those who lashes your Lenovo or smacks your Samsung.
I reserve my greatest sympathy, though, for the 7 percent of 18- to 34-year-olds who looked this survey in the eye and admitted to experiencing the ultimate breakdown in the face of a recalcitrant computer.
Yes, they cried.
Only 2 percent of those 35 and over admitted to doing this.
You see, kids, as time goes on, you learn to deal with frustration. You punch the life out of your laptop and you feel so much better.

George Zimmerman: Pulled Over For Speeding, Still Packing Heat, Let Off With Warning

George Zimmerman was pulled
over for speeding on Sunday in
the town of Forney, Texas,
according to police, with a gun in
his glove compartment.
He informed police that the
weapon was there shortly after
being pulled over.
The officer who pulled him over
asked Zimmerman where he was
going, to which he responded,
"nowhere in particular,"
according to news reports.
CBS News says that, during the
traffic stop, which occurred at
12:54 p.m., the 29-year-old also
asked the officer if he recognized
him from television.
He was given a warning after
police determined he was free of
outstanding warrants. He was
sent on his way with a polite
goodbye, "Have a safe trip."
Zimmerman was found not
guilty of second-degree murder
charges related to his killing of
Florida teenager Trayvon Martin
just over two weeks ago.
This is the second time he's
been in the news since.
Three days after his acquittal,
Zimmerman aided a family
trapped under an overturned
SUV on a Florida highway,
pulling two kids and their
parents to safety.
It's unclear why he was, or is,
driving through Texas, but he
has been in hiding ever since the
not guilty verdict became a
national story back on July 13.

Apples Paid $1.1 Billion To This Nigerian’s For His App

In a bid to shore up its mobile and
Web mapping infrastructure, Apple
has confirmed a purchase of
Nigerian entrepreneur Chinedu
Echeruo‘s (pictured) HopStop.com
application. With Google buying
the Israel-based Waze map
application for a reported $1.1
billion, it has been rumored that
HopStop’s acquisition was worth a
similar amount. But thus far, Apple
has not revealed the terms of the
deal.
As reported by the Wall Street
Journal’s “All Things Digital” blog,
HopStop empowers Apple’s map
program by providing access to a
portion of the mapping landscape
it had yet to cover: mass transit
directions. The move has been
seen by many analysts as the tech-
giant’s largest push to compete
with the industry-leading Google
Maps service. In fact, Google has
been providing map data to Apple
since 2007.
As an entrepreneur, Echeruo has
founded both HopStop and
Tripology, after stints working as
an analyst for J.P. Morgan Chase.
Echeruo also made his mark in the
hedge fund world, working for AM
Investment Partners for a time.
Echeruo grew up in Eastern
Nigeria and was a student at Kings
College in Lagos. He later came to
the States to attend Syracuse
University and Harvard Business
School before founding his
businesses.
Although the sale of HopStop.com
should be lucrative as expected,
Echeruo has no intentions of
becoming a boardroom fat rat. He
is already at work on another
small business with a focus on
working with companies in his
homeland.
HopStop is based in New York and
provides door-to-door subway
and public transit directions in 140
metropolitan areas in iOS,
Android, and web formats. In
2011, it was named one of the top
100 fastest-growing software
companies.

Selena Gomez Album Hits #1 on Billboard Chart

She may not be number-one in
the heart of Justin Bieber.
But she's number-one on the
Billboard 100.
Selena Gomez's new album,
"Stars Dance," sold 97,000
copies in its first week, good
enough to place Gomez on the
top of this prestigious chart. It's
the artist's first-ever best-selling
album.
"Come & Get It," the first track of
"Stars Dance," also hit number-
one this month. And a video of
Selena celebrating the event
surfaced on the Internet soon
afterward.
No such video of her album
reaction has been released yet,
but we'll keep our eyes out.
Congrats, SG!

Oprah Winfrey I Can't Stand People Who Use the N-Word

Oprah Winfrey says she has no
tolerance for anyone who uses the N-
word around her -- no matter the
color of their skin -- saying, "You
cannot be my friend and use that
word around me."Oprah -- along
with Forest Whitaker -- just spoke
about the race issues with Parade magazine to promote their new movie "The Butler."During the interview, Oprah was asked about the N-word -- which becomes extremely relevant in the wake of the racial comments made by her former "Color Purple" co-star Rae Dawn Chong. As we previously reported, Rae lashed out against Oprah and said she would have been a "field n**ger" back in the slave days. Oprah never mentions Rae in the interview, but makes it clear she doesn't respect people that throw that word around. "It shows my age, but I feel strongly about [the n-word] … I always think of the millions of people who heard that as their last
word as they were hanging from a
tree."The interview is interesting ... with Oprah claiming kids today don't know "diddly-squat" about the civil rights movement. She also explains why she thinks Martin Luther King's dream has not been completely fulfilled. "Are more people judged by
the content of their character than by the color of their skin? Yes. Is everybody judged by the content of their character?  Absolutely not."

Wande Coal Exits Mavin Records

Although early speculations
claimed Wande Coal was never
signed to Mavin Records – on
paper and he was only working
with the Don Jazzy led record
label. This tie is said to have been
ended and Wande Coal has fully-
floated his record label Black
Diamond Entertainment.
This move was made obvious by
his latest single Kilaju which
dropped yesterday – with Don
Jazzy keeping mute about the
song, Wande Coal was made to do
all the online promotion himself
with no support from the entire
Mavin Records gang including
their online PRs.
The reason Wande did not sign
with Mavin on launch was that he
strongly believes Mavin Records
cannot move his career to the next
level and disagreement over
sharing of monies with Wande not
willing to shift ground on 10% with
Mavin asking for 20%. Wande is
also still working with his manager,
Nana.
In a different twist, have you heard
Wande Coal mention the word
Mavin before?

Michael Jackson- Freddy Mercury Duets: Coming Soon!

New Michael Jackson material
may be released this fall,
according to reports, along with
new material from the late
Freddie Mercury of Queen.
Three unearthed tracks Michael
recorded with Freddie back in
1983 in what was supposed to
be collaborative effort are
apparently set to be released.
Initially, the collaboration fell
apart due to the "constraints" of
the two music superstars' busy
schedules, as well as creative
differences (so to speak).
It was rumored that Mercury was
agitated that Jackson insisted in
bringing a llama into the
recording studio ... which sounds
ridiculous yet believable.
Jackson, reportedly, was upset at
Mercury for "taking too much
cocaine in his living room."
The three recorded tracks
featuring the two are titled:
1. “There Must Be More to Life
Than This"
2. “State of Shock"
3. "Victory”
In 2011, Jackson’s estate went
ahead and cleared the tracks for
release, and now intends on
doing so this upcoming fall, so
keep an ear out!

Anthony Weiner Focus of Minor League Baseball Team's "Scandal Night"

Minor League Baseball has long
been known for their crazy
themed promos. Everything
from "Constanza Night" based
on the episode of Seinfeld when
George does everything the
opposite of what he usually
would do, to "Awful Night" filled
with all things awful.
Now one team is capitalizing on
the bevy of somewhat amusing
scandals of late with Anthony
Weiner's troubles headlining
their "Scandal Night".
The Richmond Flying Squirrels , a
Double-A farm team in the San
Francisco Giants franchise, will
be offering hot dogs for $1. Fans
can then tweet pictures with
their $1 wieners to win prizes.
Weiner isn't the only scandal
part of the fun however. Oh no.
There will be a Brett Farve
football toss and a Tiger Woods
closest to the pin contest.
While Flying Squirrels VP, Todd
Parnell says the event is very
"tongue in cheek", it has caused
some fans to call foul.
Sound off THG'ers.... Is it
scandalous of the Flying
Squirrels to host a "Scandal
Night"?

Barton keen to join Everton, says agent

The midfielder, who was loaned to Olympique de Marseille last season, is willing to take a pay cut in order to secure a move to Goodison Park this summer.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has been approached over the possibility of signing Joey Barton by the QPR
midfielder’s agent.
The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Olympique de Marseille and has made no secret of his desire to leave QPR following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
A return to the south of France to rejoin Marseille on a permanent basis has been mooted in the media, but Willie McKay, Barton's representative, has now revealed he would be keen on a move to Goodison Park.
According to McKay, Barton would take a pay cut to link up with the club he supported as a boy growing up on Merseyside.
"I spoke to Roberto to see if he would be interested in taking Joey," McKay told the Daily Mail.
"I told him that Joey would love to join Everton and that they are the only club he is willing to lose money to play for."
Barton's often controversial career has also so far included spells at Manchester City and Newcastle United.
Martinez has been particularly active in the transfer window since being announced as David Moyes' successor, signing Arouna Kone and Antolin Alcaraz from his former club Wigan Athletic, while Gerard Deulofeu has arrived from Barcelona on a season-long loan.

Ramos endorses Real Madrid's Bale pursuit

The Spain international described a potential world-record fee for the Tottenham star as "not very
expensive" considering the Welshman's talents, and urged his club to seal a deal.
Sergio Ramos has become the latest Real Madrid player to endorse the club's move for Tottenham's Gareth Bale, declaring that the world-record fees being touted for the Premier League star are "not very expensive" considering his talent.
Los Blancos are stepping up their efforts for the 24-year-old's signature with the Welshman desperate for a move to the Spanish capital, though Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to sell the club's top player - even for a huge sum.
And after Madrid and Spain team-mate Iker Casillas backed the club to sign the PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year, Ramos also supports a move, suggesting the club should always be looking for "great" players
like Bale.
"The price of players is determined by the market. He's not very expensive from my point of view," Ramos told reporters at a press conference.
The 27-year-old defender believes Madrid must prioritise securing the best young Spanish talent - the €39 million deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Asier Illaramendi being a case in point - but says "great" players like Bale are always welcome.
"It's important that there are young, national players on this squad because a national core is very important," he continued.
"But from there it's wonderful to have great players. It's a good philosophy and a good project."
And while there has been no official bid for Bale as of yet, Ramos insists the final decision will lie with the club's hierarchy.
"The president [Florentino Perez] and [coach Carlo] Ancelotti will decide if he needs to come here."

Bale talks open: Tottenham & Real Madrid start negotiations over €115m transfer

Tottenham have finally opened talks with Real Madrid over the €115 million sale of Gareth Bale , with club officials
increasingly convinced the Welshman will leave this summer.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been adamant all summer that the club's prized asset would not be sold under
any circumstances.
However, Madrid's concerted campaign has borne fruit in the last couple of days, with their most recent tactic - a
warning to Bale and his advisors that it is 'now or never' for him to force a move - prompting the 24-year-old to
privately declare in a meeting with Levy that he wants to join the Spanish giants.
That has led the Spurs chairman, whose 'no sale' policy had been fully backed by owner Joe Lewis, to open
dialogue with Real in the last 24 hours, with a meeting between Levy and Madrid president Florentino Perez
expected to take place on August 6 in Florida.
Even now Levy will only sanction a sale if the deal - cash only - smashes the world record €91m fee Real paid for
Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009. Tottenham are keen on Blancos left-back Fabio Coentrao, in particular, while Angel di
Maria is also seen by many as a good like-for-like replacement for Bale.
But big-money player exchange deals are a complicated matter, and Levy is keen that he realises the full monetary
value for a player who still has three years left on his contract, preferring to keep any follow-up bid for Coentrao
and Di Maria separate.
Though it is not a foregone conclusion that the transfer will go ahead - as recently as Monday, Tottenham were
insistent no bids had yet even been formalised - Levy and manager Andre Villas-Boas are now making plans for
the coming weeks to bolster the squad in Bale's absence.
Roberto Soldado is expected to arrive in a €28m deal from Valencia, joining fellow big-money recruits Paulinho
and Nacer Chadli, while Romanian defender Vlad Chiriches is also expected to sign in an €8m deal from Steaua Bucharest.
It looks increasingly likely, though, that they will not be lining up alongside Bale next season, with Real pulling out
all the stops to land a 'Galactico' summer signing to rival Barcelona's €57m capture of Neymar.
Despite telling Spurs of his desire to leave the club for Real, Bale has been keen to underline his happiness at the
north Londoners and could yet play a part in a behind-closed-doors friendly against a non-league opponent on
Thursday.
Further still, should negotiations with Madrid break down, it is still expected that the former Southampton youngster will play  a full and committed part under Villas-Boas in the 2013-14 campaign as Spurs aim to claim a place in top four of the Premier League.
But with Levy now willing to talk to Perez and Real desperate to land their number-one target, a world-record deal is now more likely than ever to be completed in the coming weeks.

£100m Bale deal can win Real Madrid the Champions League

Following the release of the Goal 50, we look at the world's best who have moved this summer, and those that could yet set the market alight Real Madrid 's high-pitch calls for Gareth Bale had fallen on deaf ears at Spurs, but now, it seems, talk of a staggering £100m deal has got their attention .
Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, has been resolute in his stance every since releasing a statement on the club's website at the end of last season. He insisted then, despite failing to qualifying for the Champions League, that their star names would not be sold.
Bale's blistering campaign saw him named 6th in the 2012-13 Goal 50, our list of the 50 greatest players of the past season. A jump from last year's 19th spot has seen his stock increase tenfold.
Meanwhile, Luis Suarez - 31st on the Goal 50 - continues to edge towards Arsenal. The Uruguayan is considered 'Plan B' by Real Madrid, while for Arsene Wenger's, Suarez is certainly 'Plan A'.

Justin Bieber REJECTED By NYC Nightclub

Poor little Justin Bieber wanted to
party his face off Monday night ... but
His Douche-ness was brutally shot
down by one NYC nightclub ...
because he's still a baby in bar years
(i.e. under 21). Our NYC party sources
tell us ... Biebs and his crew showed
up to Griffin Nightclub in the
Meatpacking District around 2:00
AM ... looking to drop serious coin on
bottle service. But money can't buy
everything ... we're told JB was
DENIED entrance by the club's
security because he's only 19 --
making his presence a potential
problem (see Chicago earlier this
month). Not to be defeated ... Biebs
and his posse were shot minutes later
cruising into another club, Catch ...
where he probably just sipped water.

Justin Bieber Continues Worldwide Search For Lost Shirt

Having assembled a crack search-
and-rescue team, Justin Bieber hit the
streets of NYC Tuesday morning to
continue the grueling quest for his
lost shirt. Some say Bieber lost his
shirt in Connecticut this month ...
some say he misplaced it after a
recent concert ... some say it
disappeared last year in Miami ... but
the truth is ... no one really
knows. There are pics that appear to
show the singer wearing shirts in
recent months, but Bieber insists it's
really easy to Photoshop stuff these
days ... so we can't confirm their
authenticity.

Harry Styles: I'm Pretty Sure I'm Not Bisexual

Sorry gentlemen ... Harry Styles
doesn't swing both ways -- at least,
he's "pretty sure" he doesn't. The One
Direction singer was talking with
British GQ, when he was asked about
rumors that he was hooking up with a
dude named Nick Grimshaw -- a big
TV and radio host in the U.K.."We're
not dating, no. We're just friends,"
Styles said. The interviewer pushed
the topic a little harder ... saying, "So
you're not bisexual?"To which Harry
replied, "Bisexual? Me? I don't think
so. I'm pretty sure I'm not."So, it
seems Harry might be straight ... after
all, he did recently date Taylor Swift. ...
not that there's anything wrong with
that.

Taylor Swift vs. Sydney Leathers WHO'D YOU RATHER?

It's a battle of the beltlines!Here's 23
year-old pop sensation and paddle
board amateur Taylor Swift in the
Atlantic Ocean (left) ... and 23-year-old

Taylor Swift's Grankini It's a Girl Thing ... That Guys HATE

Taylor Swift's new bikini is totes

This ... means war.

Justin Bieber: TMZ Superimposed Spitting Pics (TMZ: No We Didn't)

Justin Bieber is accusing TMZ of a
spit-conspiracy ... that they
"superimposed" photos to make it
appear the singer was spitting on fans
last week when he really wasn't.
Here's the problem ... he's speaking
out of his hairless, Canadian ass.
Justin's rep issued a statement about
the incident ... and if your computer
screen starts to smell ... well, you
know."Justin didn't spit on anyone.
No fans were below the balcony. TMZ
superimposed photos of the fans
next to Justin on a completely
different balcony to make it appear
like he was spitting on fans when he
wasn't. In fact, earlier in the day,
Justin bought his fans hot chocolate
and played them some of his new
music. Justin loves his fans."First,
Justin ... there WERE fans below the
balcony. In fact, Justin had posted a
video of the crowds below his hotel
room on his own Instagram page ...
showing him on the same balcony
depicted in the photos.Second, the
photos were shot by a reputable
photo agency and posted on our site
per usual. Also, we're not that good
at photoshop (see: here and here).
Bottom line -- Justin Bieber clearly
thinks you're dumb enough to buy his
lies ... and continue to belieb that he's
some sort of pop angel sent to this
planet to spread the word of
Biebdom to the masses."(TMZ)

Ray J Mocking Kanye ... Again

Reminding the planet that he "hit it
first" wasn't enough ... 'cause Ray J
went after Kanye West again last
night ... and TMZ has the footage. Kim
Kardashian's sex tape partner was
leaving Tru in Hollywood last night
when he started mocking K's airport
meltdown ... which is interesting
considering Ray recently released a
song bragging about banging KK way
before Kanye came into the picture.
Kanye hasn't really acknowledged Ray
J's attempt at a beef yet. Think this
will get his attention?

Former Premier League striker Christian Benitez dies suddenly of suspected heart attack aged 27

Former Birmingham City striker
Christian Benitez has tragically died of suspected heart failure at the age of 27.
The Ecuador international's death
comes just a few weeks after his
£10million switch to Qatari side El
Jaish from Mexican team Club
America. As footballers across the world took to Twitter to voice their grief at news of his death, the Ecuadorian Football Federation revealed he was rushed to hospital yesterday with 'severe stomach pain' before he died from a heart attack Twitter
In a statement on its website, the EFA
said: '[Benitez] had severe stomach
pain and was rushed to a hospital
where, after a few hours, suffered
cardio-respiratory arrest, which ended
his life.'
They added: 'The Ecuadorian Football
Federation extends its heartfelt note
of sympathy to the family members,
parents, wife, children and friends of
our striker Cristian Benitez.'
El Jaish also released a statement
confirming the news. It said: 'The club
would like to offer its sincere
condolences to the family of the
player.
'Benitez had recently joined the club
from Club America for three seasons.
'The player participated for the first
time with the team during yesterday's
match against Qatar Sports Club in
the Sheikh Jassem Cup without
complaining of any health problems.
'His sudden departure is a big shock
for each member of the technical and
administrative staff.
'He was a player that over the short
period he was here was regarded for
his high moral character.'
A tweet from Club America read: 'You
left as a champion, you will always be
in our hearts. Rest in Peace Christian
Benitez.'
He was diagnosed with appendicitis,
but - according to his father-in-law
Cleber Chala - this developed into
peritonitis and complications led to a
respiratory arrest.
Mr Chala, who spoke on Ecuadorian
radio and cited by The Mirror , said:
'They called me at 3am to tell me that
they had taken him to hospital as an
emergency due to stomach pains.
'When he arrived, he was not seen to
quickly.
'By the time he was admitted he was
no longer responding. This happened
in Qatar, my daughter is alone there.'
Benitez, nicknamed 'Chucho', was on
loan at St. Andrew's for the 2009-10
season, making 36 appearances for
the Blues. He won 58 caps for
Ecuador, including appearances at the
2006 World Cup.
Manchester United winger Antonia
Valencia led the tributes to his
compatriot. Valencia took to Twitter to
pay his respects, including posting a
touching photo of the pair together.
As tributes for Benitez from around
the game began to pour in, it became
clear that the striker had an impact on
team-mates during his short time in
Birmingham.
Former Blues star Craig Gardner, who
now plays for Sunderland, took to his
Twitter account to register his
condolences, posting: 'Can't believe
Christian Benitez aka chucho has died
had the pleasure to play with him he
was a top bloke. My thoughts go out
to his family.'

Google redesigns Zagat site, releases iOS and Android apps

In an attempt to continue its real-world indexing and the unification of all its services, Google has relaunched Zagat , the dining review and ratings company it acquired in September 2011. Alongside the overhauled Web site are new iOS and Android apps. But most importantly, Zagat is accessible -- for the first time -- with no registration or fees required.
When Zagat was fully integrated into Google's services in May of last year, its Web site still required users to sign in with a Google+ account.
Now with the barriers removed, Google's location-based dining guide is taking aim at the success and wide reach of competitor Yelp -- both on the Web and on mobile devices, considering that Yelp is integrated into Apple's map offering.
The new Zagat is focused on nine U.S. cities, and expansions are planned in the coming months. Residents of cities like San Francisco and New York City now have full access to ratings, reviews, and consumer surveys, in addition to videos, blogs, and curated lists by Zagat's local editors.

Justin Bieber Attends Selena Gomez Birthday Party, Brings Single Rose

They are not together.
Really, truly, Selena Gomez
swears: they are not together.
But that didn't stop Justin Bieber
from attending a 21st birthday
party for Gomez at Revolve
Clothing beach house in Malibu
last night, as the artist arrived
around 9 p.m. for a gypsy-
themed bash.
And he wasn't empty-handed.
"Justin flew in specifically for the
party on a day off from his
tour," an insider tells Us Weekly.
"He wasn't dressed in costume,
but carried a single red rose in
his hand."
Other stars in attended included
Julianne Hough, Nina Dobrev,
Derek Hough, Ashley Benson
and Jaden Smith, with the
onlooker adding that a very
good time was had by all.
"Everybody danced and had a
blast, especially Selena, who was
surrounded by her friends," says
the source, adding that Smith
helped the birthday girl and
Bieber sneak away at one point -
and that they were holding
hands!
Earlier in the week, in an
interview with Good Morning
America, Selena reiterated that
she was single. But added she
would always care about and
protect Bieber.

Raul wants Draxler to join Real Madrid

The Blancos icon has nothing but praise for the Germany international and hopes to see his
former team-mate make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu side in future
Raul is confident that Julian Draxler has a bright future ahead of him and thinks the Schalke star will be ready to
join the likes of Real Madrid within two years.
The 19-year-old had been linked with clubs such as Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus and Manchester City in the past few months, but opted to sign a new deal with Schalke until 2018 in order to continue his development in the Bundesliga.
However, Raul has little doubt that his former team-mate will eventually end up at one of Europe's finest, and
made no secret of his desire to see him don the famous Blancos shirt.
"Julian has a bright future ahead of him. I expect him to make the step to an English or Spanish top club within
one to two years," the Spaniard stated at a press conference.
"And I would obviously prefer it if he were to join Real Madrid rather than Barcelona. I would like to continue
giving him tips and advice."
Draxler is a product of the Schalke youth academy and has already made over 100 official appearances for the
Veltins-Arena outfit.

Suarez still 'very much part of the group' at Liverpool, insists Rodgers

The Reds manager insists the striker remains key to the club's preparations going into the new
Premier League season, despite the ongoing speculation surrounding his future Brendan Rodgers insists Luis Suarez remains “very much a part of the group” at Liverpool despite the striker’s desire to leave the club. The Uruguay international is understood to be preparing to submit a transfer request to force through an exit from Anfield with Arsenal favourites for his signature after lodging a £42 million bid.
Suarez has now joined up with the squad on their current tour, following his participation in the Confederations Cup, and Rodgers is adamant it is vital that Suarez is involved in the club's pre-season preparations. “It is important [Suarez] is very much part of the group,” he told reporters.
"He has still got some way to go [with his fitness]. He is a number of weeks behind the other players. "He is working hard on his conditioning and over the course of time as he gets closer to playing we will build him up to
more minutes on the field."
Suarez will miss the start of the Premier League season after
being handed a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic last season and Rodgers is already making contingency plans.
"I also have to consider that our focus over the course of pre-season is for the first game [of the Premier League] and Luis will not be available for the first game,” he added. Liverpool kick off their new campaign at home to Stoke City on August 17.

outstanding players for the the
third time
Lionel Messi has won the Goal 50
award for the world’s best footballer
after another record-breaking season.
The Argentinian forward claims the
title for the third time in recognition of
an incredible campaign during which
he beat Gerd Muller’s 40-year-old
record of 85 goals scored in a
calendar year.
The 26-year old scored 91 goals in
2012 and increased his total as
Barcelona’s all-time top scorer to 313
goals in all competitions by the end of
the season.
Messi struck in his 19th consecutive La
Liga game in March 2013, becoming
the first footballer in history to score
in consecutive matches against every
team in a major professional league.
After receiving the trophy from Goal's
Barcelona correspondent Pilar Suarez
at the club's training ground, Messi
said: "I'm very excited about this. As
players, we work the entire year to
win honours for the team, we don't
look for the individual awards, but
when they come it's an incentive and
gives us strength to continue on the
same path."
The Goal 50 is regarded as one of the
most credible and respected awards
in sport because it is chosen by the
world’s biggest football website.
Voting takes place at the end of
domestic and international seasons
for the majority of countries.
More than 500 Goal journalists from
around the world vote to select their
top 50 players, giving a truly global
view.
Messi heads this year's list in front of
second-placed Franck Ribery, who
helped European champions Bayern
Munich win an historic treble. Last
year’s winner Cristiano Ronaldo is
third.
Commenting on the results, Graham
Shaw, Editorial Director, said: “Messi
had a spectacular season and it is
incredible to think he has achieved so
much by the age of 26. His award this
year takes him past Cristiano Ronaldo
to a record three Goal 50 titles and
recognises the individual brilliance of
a player who is rightly recognised by
some as the greatest of all time.”

Toyin Aimakhu Places Curse On Critics

Recently wedded actress, Toyin
Aimakhu has really become angry
with her critics who have not stopped
lashing out at her over her marriage
to fellow actor, Niyi Johnson. Since
she walked down the aisle with her
handsome hubby, the pretty actress
has come under criticisms.
While some alleged that she's about
three years older than her husband,
others lambasted her for staging a
low-key wedding ceremony as a
celeb.
Not happy with the negative
comments for her choice of marriage,
the Edo State-born actress has
allegedly placed a curse on her critics
and begged God to make it come to
pass.
She took to twitter to state, "I don’t
understand anymore. You people
will insult us. You will be cursing us
that is just a year, if the marriage
breaks again, you people will be
shouting that we are irresponsible.
Anyways, anyone who places a curse
or say negative words about my
home, God of Abraham, God of God,
Allah will place a curse on them and
all their lives will bring negative
meanings to people."

Boat operator charged in Hudson River crash; engaged couple on board

Authorities in Piermont, New York,
believe that they have recovered the
body of Mark Lennon, the second
victim of a boating accident involving a
wedding party on the Hudson River,
Sheriff Louis Falco told reporters
Sunday. Lennon was the best man in
the group.
The path that led Lindsey Stewart and
Brian Bond to decide to join their lives
together was as measured and
deliberate as its end was abrupt.
The two had been friends since they
were children living in the suburbs
north of New York City. They went to
the same church. More than three
years ago, the relationship turned
romantic.
Next month, the 30-year-old human
resources manager at an insurance
company in Nyack, and her 36-year-
old beau were to marry at Good
Shepherd Church in Pearl River.
The reception was to be at Torne
Valley Winery in Hillburn.
"She did all the plans herself," her
stepfather, Walter Kosik, told CNN.
"She had everything under control."
On Friday night, Stewart and Bond
and four of their friends dined at a
restaurant, then boarded a 21-foot
Stingray power boat on the Hudson
River for what was to have been a
short ride from the village of Piermont
in Rockland County to Tarrytown.
It was a clear, balmy
night.
The short ride and the couple's long-term plans collided fatally when the boat struck the side of one of three barges that were lashed together at a construction site near the Tappan Zee Bridge, 25 miles north of Manhattan.
The barges, which were being used by a contractor who is building a new bridge, had been anchored in the river since around April, said Robert
Van Cura, undersheriff of the
Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
Stewart was thrown from the boat, as
was Mark Lennon, who was to have
served as the couple's best man.
Despite suffering serious head
injuries, Bond, Stewart's fiance, called
911 from the boat at 10:41 p.m.,
reporting that it had struck an object
south of the bridge.
Rescuers poured in from around the
area, but to no avail.
At 2:30 a.m. Saturday, the police
showed up at the house belonging to
Stewart's mother and stepfather.
"That's something -- a nightmare -- I
don't wish on any parent, to get that
police coming over your house waking
you out of your sleep to tell you that
an accident has occurred," Kosik said.
A few hours later, a body believed to
be that of Stewart's was discovered
about an eighth of a mile off the
riverbank. The search for Lennon,
which proved fruitless Saturday, was
to resume Sunday morning, but
officials held out little hope he would
be found alive.
"We're always hopeful, but obviously,
at this hour, it's less and less likely that
this would be a rescue as opposed to
a recovery," Van Cura told reporters.
The four who were not thrown from
the boat suffered head injuries and
were taken to area hospitals.
One of them, boat operator Jojo K.
John, 35, was arrested.
"We have probable cause to believe
that he operated the boat while
intoxicated," Van Cura said.
John was arraigned at an area
hospital on one count of first-degree
vehicular manslaughter and three
counts of second-degree vehicular
assault, Van Cura said.
More charges are possible, he said.
Van Cura said the operator was not
the registered owner of the boat,
which may have more than one
owner.
Bond was hospitalized at Westchester
Medical Center, said Kosik, who visited
him Saturday. "He was in no condition
to talk."
A spokesman for the medical center
said Bond was in fair condition.
"She's supposed to be married two
weeks from today," said Carol Stewart
about her daughter. "It just can't end
like this."
An investigation has begun. "The
barge had some lights on it; whether
or not it was properly lighted is part of
the investigation," Van Cura said.
"On a clear, moonlit night, with the
bridge lights on, you can see pretty
well," said Tom Sobolik in a telephone
interview from aboard his sailboat
near the accident site.
The moon was last full on Monday.
But Craig and Celeste Kmiecik said
they were boating in the area on
Friday night and that it appeared dark.
"There was a moon last night, but you
really can't see anything," said Craig
Kmiecik.
"The barge was not lit up," said
Celeste Kmiecik. "We saw that last
night coming back to the marina."

German Erik Zabel admits to doping

Former German sprinter Erik Zabel
admitted to having used doping
products including EPO from 1996 to
2004, in an interview published on
German newspaper Sueddeutsche
Zeitung's website on Sunday.
He also admitted to blood doping and
using cortisone.
Zabel's admission comes a few days
after he was named in a French
government report that identified
cyclists who had tested positive for
EPO during the 1998 Tour de France.
"EPO, cortisone and then even blood
doping. It's really a lot," said Zabel, a
six-time winner of the Tour de
France's green jersey competition for
best sprinter.
The 43-year-old, who retired in 2008,
had previously admitted in 2007 to
having taken EPO in 1996, although
he said he had stopped using it after
one week.
However, now he has finally come
fully clean, explaining how he
graduated from EPO to blood doping
as detection methods improved.
"In 2003, I had a transfusion of my
own blood," he added before
explaining why he had previously lied
about his doping past.
"First and foremost I wanted to
preserve my life, the dream life of a
professional cyclist.
"I loved it so much, the discipline, the
travel. Basically, my selfishness was
the strongest (thing)."
The inquiry by the French government
commission into the effectiveness of
the fight against doping decided to
publish on Wednesday the results of
samples from the 1998 and 1999
Tours that were retroactively tested
for EPO in 2004.
In 1998 there wasn't an effective test
for EPO so the drug went undetected.
Zabel, fellow sprinter Mario Cipollini
as well as known dopers and former
Tour winners Marco Pantini and Jan
Ullrich were amongst the cyclists
revealed to have used EPO in 1998.
Disgraced former seven-time Tour
winner Lance Armstrong's samples
from the 1999 Tour, the first one he
won before later being stripped of all
his titles, also tested positive for EPO.
Zabel actually tested positive for a
banned anabolic steroid in 1994, right
at the start of his career, but got away
with a fine of 3,000 Swiss francs and
no suspension.
In 2007 in the wake of admissions
from former teammates and team
officials from his former squad
Telekom that doping was systematic
in the German outfit, Zabel had said
he tried EPO for just one week in the
lead up to the 1996 Tour before
stopping due to side effects.
However, his new admission shows
that he in fact continued using doping
products throughout the majority of
his career, and principally the most
successful period when he won six
successive green jerseys from 1996 to
2001.

Pope Francis wraps up Brazil trip with Mass for 3 million

An estimated 3 million people poured onto Rio's Copacabana beach on Sunday for the final Mass of Pope Francis' historic trip to his home continent, cheering the first Latin American pope in one of the biggest turnouts for a papal Mass in recent history.
Speaking from a white stage and
looking out over the enormous
crowd, Francis urged young
Catholics to go out and spread
their faith "to the fringes of society, even to those who seem farthest away, most indifferent."
"The church needs you, your
enthusiasm, your creativity and the joy that is so characteristic of you!" he said to applause in his final homily of World Youth Day.
Nearly the entire 4 kilometer (2.5
mile) crescent of Copacabana's
broad beach overflowed with flag-
waving faithful, some of them
taking an early morning dip in the
Atlantic and others tossing t-shirts,
flags and soccer jerseys into the
pontiff's open-sided car as he
drove by. Francis worked the
crowd, kissing babies, taking a sip
of mate tea handed up to him and
catching gifts on the fly. Hundreds of thousands of people crowd Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro on July 28, 2013.

DMX Passes Out In Cop Car During DUI Bust

DMX was either wasted, exhausted, or
both following his DUI arrest Friday
morning ... because he passed the
hell out once he got inside the squad
car -- and TMZ has obtained dash
cam footage of the entire bust.TMZ
broke the story ... the rapper was
popped in South Carolina around
3AM Friday after police determined he
had been driving under the
influence.It wasn't immediately clear
whether X was busted for alcohol or
some other substance -- but based
on the dash cam footage, it appears
to have been for alcohol ... and not
just because X was a little sleepy.In
the footage, the cop asks X if he's
been boozing, and X says he had one
drink -- but later it sounds like he
admits to drinking "4 or 5" (the audio
is pretty bad). Despite the drinks, X
insists he's not too drunk to drive.
The cop doesn't buy it.X was booked
for DUI and hauled to a nearby
station. He was released from custody
roughly an hour later. Bonus: you
have to see how X handles his itchy
nose with his hands cuffed behind his
back. Classic.

could be outbid.Enter a guy named
Ross M. Klein, who doubled Toni's
price and nabbed the tunes.Among
the 27 are a few hits, including
"You're Making Me High," "How Many

Syndicated radio host Kidd Kraddick dies

David "Kidd" Kraddick, whose
morning radio show aired in nearly
100 cities, has died. He was 53.
He died Saturday in New Orleans at a
golf tournament to raise money for
his Kidd's Kids Charity, his
management company said.
What killed Kraddick was not
immediately known.
"At the appropriate time, we will
release more information about the
cause of death," said Ladd Biro with
Champion Management.
"He died doing what he loved, and his
final day was spent selflessly focused
on those special children that meant
the world to him."
Kraddick is the face behind the
nationally successful "Kidd Kraddick In
The Morning" show.
He has been named America's Best
Radio Personality'; Radio and Records
Major Market Personality of the Year;
and he won the prestigious Marconi
Award for Radio Personality of the
Year.
Kruddick said his career as a disc
jockey began in high school.
"We sponsored a big dance for the
seniors but didn't have enough
money to hire a DJ. So I snuck out my
dad's stereo and did it myself," he
said.
The name "Kidd" wouldn't come for
several years though.
He began his career in Miami. And as
is common with radio personalities,
he bounced around.
Stints in Salt Lake City, Los Angeles
and Tampa followed.
It was in Tampa that a program
director gave him the name "Kidd." It
stuck.
His career really took off after he
moved to Dallas when his morning
drive time show went into syndication.
Last week, Kraddick did a humorous
segment on what he'd say to his co-
hosts in his "final moments on Earth."
"When I die, you have permission to
take a bunch of creepy pictures of my
body," Kraddick said. "I want to thank
all of you guys for being at my
deathbed today. I'm going to miss you
so much."
Saturday's golf tournament was for
his non-profit Kidd's Kids Charity,
which raises money annually to send
children with chronic and terminal
illnesses -- and their families -- to
spend five days at Walt Disney World.
"RIP Kidd Kraddick. You were an
amazing man and a friend. You are
already missed," tweeted
entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks
owner Mark Cuban.
CNN.com readers also shared their
memories.
"Such a great guy. I've listened to the
show for years," commented Johnny
MacNary. "He was always raising
money for Kidd's Kids and giving
things away. He really had a heart of
gold. Mornings in Texas will never be
the same. My thoughts are with his
family, friends and colleagues tonight.
He really made the world a better
place."

Djukic: If Soldado moves to Tottenham we will wish him luck

The Valencia coach appeared resigned to losing the striker, who seems set to tie up a €30 million
move to Tottenham By Ben Hayward in Valencia Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic admits he is in the dark over Roberto Soldado's possible move to Tottenham but says he will wish the Spain striker "all the luck in the world" if he chooses to swap Mestalla for White Hart Lane this summer.
Djukic saw his side lose 2-1 to AC Milan in the ICC Cup opener in Valencia on Saturday without Soldado, who only returned from his holiday earlier in the day after his Confederations Cup exertions with Spain last month.
Valencia has already turned down a €26 million bid for Soldado from Spurs, but the 28-year-old now seems set to move as the Premier League side look likely to pay his release clause of €30 million.
"I haven't spoken to the club," Djukic told the media after watching his side edged out by Milan. "Whatever happens [will happen]... "I spoke to Roberto this morning. He is a very good professional and if he decides to leave we will wish him a lot of luck and if he chooses to stay with us then we will be delighted because he is a great professional and he can help us a lot. But if his exit to Tottenham is confirmed then we will wish him all the luck in the world."
Djukic, who joined the club from Valladolid earlier this summer, believes Valencia can be competitive next season - with or without Soldado.
"We will keep working," he added. "We are Valencia [and] without Djukic, without Soldado, this is [still] a big club. If he decides to leave then we will bring in someone else. It will be a big loss but we will bring in another player and keep moving forward." Midfielder Dani Parejo, who scored the second-half goal which gave Valencia hope of a fightback, also claims the club can cope without the star striker.
"We have other team-mates who are good players, like Paco [Alcacer]," he explained. "But Roberto every seasonl scores 22 or 23 goals and that guarantees you are high up in the table. If he goes then others will come in. He is a great footballer but we have other good players as well."
Valencia has been linked with former Tottenham striker and Portuguese international Helder Postiga as a possible replacement for Soldado.
"He is an experienced striker who knows La Liga, has scored goals and is an international player - any club would be interested in him," Djukic said.

Michael Jackson Accuser: I Can Help Victims Of Child Sex Abuse

Wade Robson -- the choreographer
who claims Michael Jackson molested
him -- is launching his own
foundation to help child sex abuse
victims through new age healing ...
TMZ has learned. Robson founded a
non-profit organization called "Hearts
in Our Hands" on July 1 -- registering
a domain name and a Facebook page.
A rep for Robson tells us all the
required legal docs haven't been filed
yet -- but the group will be dedicated
to preventing abuse ... and will take a
holistic approach to treating victims.
Translation: a whole lotta meditation
and yoga. A source close to Wade
says the choreographer's gotten deep
into yoga himself lately -- and now
wants to quit professional dancing
forever. As TMZ previously reported ...
Wade is suing MJ's Estate, claiming he
was sexually molested by Jackson
from the age of 7 to 14. The Jackson
Estate and several family members
have dismissed Wade's claims as little
more than a money grab.

Anthony Weiner Publicly Scolded

This video is super awkward ...
Anthony Weiner was put on BLAST
today by an ex-school teacher for his
raunchy, sexting ways ... and it all
happened while cameras rolled.
Weiner was visiting homes damaged
by Superstorm Sandy Saturday, when
he walked into a s**t storm himself ...
in the form of Peg Brunda a retired
teacher, who went off on him. You
gotta watch the heated exchange --
but to give you an idea just how
PISSED Brunda is that Weiner refuses
to drop out of the NYC mayoral race,
she says, "Had I conducted myself in
the manner in which you conducted
yourself, my job would have been
gone." Then adds, "I don’t quite
understand how you would feel you
would have the moral authority as the
head administrator in this city to
oversee employees when your
standard of conduct is so much lower
than the standard of conduct that’s
expected of us." Weiner tries to fire
back ... but Peg doesn't back down.
Check it out.

Myla Sinanaj: I Watched Kim K's Sex Tape ... While Making My Own

Okay this is creepy ... not only does
Myla Sinanaj want to be just like Kim
Kardashian ... she had Kim K's sex
tape playing during her own XXX
romp. TMZ broke the story ... Myla has
gone all single white female and
filmed her own version of a Kim K sex
tape -- called the "Anti-Kim
Kardashian XXX" -- hoping its release
will make her millions and land her a
reality show. TMZ obtained a clip of
the tape  ... it shows how obsessed
she is -- you see Myla watching the
KK / Ray J video in the background as
a Kris Humphries look-a-like bangs
her to a fare-thee-well. Myla does say,
"Turn that off ... I can do better than
that." But still ... The one thing that
does set Myla apart from KK -- she
loses her "backdoor virginity." It's a
place Kim never went ... at least on
camera.It's beyond.

Check Out The Interior of Kim And Kanye’s New Golden Mansion

Kim and Kanye have already
splashed out a staggering
£487,000 on four gold-plated

penchant for all things glitz and
glam has been taken to a whole
new level, with the Lord and Lady
of the Manor now reportedly
shelling out an incredible £750,000
on six special-edition luxury beds.
Proving they will settle for nothing
but the very best as they renovate
their $11million home following
the arrival of their newborn
daughter North ‘Nori’ West, the
couple have enlisted the services
of the company that supplies beds
for London’s exclusive Savoy
Hotel, costing a whopping
£125,000 each, the limited-edition
Savoir Royal State Bed takes
hundreds of hours to create from
a unique combination of
cashmere, carded Virgin lamb’s

Justin Bieber Spitting Again Caught in the Act

Here it is ... hard proof Justin Bieber is a revolting, germ-spreading spitter.

The photos were snapped Thursday in Toronto, where Bieber was perched atop his hotel balcony. We can't tell what, or who, was directly under him as he dropped his saliva-bomb.

It is worth noting ... hordes of fans were gathered outside the window of his hotel room all day -- he even posted a Bieberview pic on Instagram.

0723-justin-bieber-instagram
Also relevant ... multiple people have accused Bieber of using spit as a weapon -- including some woman at a gym, his neighbor, and most recently ... a nightclub DJ.

At least he's not pissing into a mop bucket ... far as we know.

Barcelona prepare €29m bid for Chelsea's David Luiz

Barcelona have stepped up their
defender search by preparing a €29 million move for Chelsea's David Luiz, Goal understands. The Catalan giants are readying a bid for the Brazilian after making him their primary centre-back target. It is believed that Barca have enquired about Luiz’s availability and have been given encouragement that Chelsea could be willing to sell the 26-year-old. The Spanish champions, who have been rebuffed in their attempts to sign the Brazil international in the past, are putting together a lucrative package to entice the Brazilian to Camp Nou and informal discussions have already started with his representatives. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is unconvinced about Luiz’s defensive abilities and is ready to cash in on the defender and sign a new centre-half, with Doria, an 18 year-old Brazilian who plays for Botafogo, among those on his target list. Barca want to reinforce their back four by signing a left-sided centre-back to provide competition to Carles Puyol, 35, after releasing Eric Abidal.

'Ronaldo is one of the best - not the best' - Ibrahimovic

The Swede wanted to refrain from saying the Real Madrid attacker is the greatest in the game and believes it is normal for PSG to be linked to him Zlatan Ibrahimovic has branded Cristiano Ronaldo one of the best players in the world, but stopped short of suggesting he is the game's finest footballer. Paris Saint-Germain have repeatedly been linked with a move for the Real Madrid forward, whose contract at the Santiago Bernabeu runs out in just under two years' time. And ahead of a friendly between the European giants on Saturday, the 31- year-old claimed it makes sense for a top club like les Parisiens to be associated with the former Manchester United man, who he categorises as among the greatest in the game. v"Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world," he told reporters on Friday at a PSG press conference. "The fact that he is often linked to PSG, this is normal, because the project of the club is to become the best in Europe and therefore attract the best players." When the translator for the press mistakenly said Ibrahimovic had called Ronaldo "the best in the world" the former AC Milan and Barcelona forward added in English: "No, he's one of the best - not the best." The clash between the Blancos and PSG kicks off at 20:00CET on Saturday.

Miley Cyrus POSES NUDE ... Covers Junk

It was only a matter of time -- Miley Cyrus went FULL NAKED for an artsy photo shoot ... but sorry pervs, it ain't exactly a Penthouse spread. 20-year- old Miley stripped down to her birthday suit for a Marc Jacobs t-shirt -- which is part of the designer's "Protect the Skin You're In" campaign to raise awareness for melanoma research. Of course, the slogan is carefully placed over Miley's chest to cover her nipples ... and she uses her hand to hide her hooha. You can breathe easy, Billy Ray ... Miley posted the image on her Twitter page -- along with the caption, "Ts are available at 9 Marc Jacobs boutiques including SanFran, LA, Chicago, New York, Boston, & Savannah GA!"The shirts cost money ... but your imagination is free.

Sevilla slam PSG over Gameiro deal

The Primera Division side's president Jose Maria del Nido was left fuming at the French outfit over their behaviour during the switch, but PSG say they did not break any rules Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has hit out at Paris Saint-Germain , claiming his club were "mistreated" in the transfer of Kevin Gameiro. The former Lorient star signed a five-year deal with Sevilla on Thursday after protracted talks between both sides, and Del Nido was not amused with the Ligue 1 champions' attitude during negotiations. "We were mistreated by PSG and that's an understatement," Del Nido said at a press conference.
"We had agreed that we would pay €3 million right now, then €2.5m next year and €2m in 2015. But then in the end they all of a sudden demanded we paid the entire sum right away. "And this is just one example of many more events. Each problem was followed by the next problem. This must be the worst transfer talks I have ever been involved in. Fortunately, the player really pushed hard." PSG, meanwhile, have stressed they did not do anything out of the ordinary during talks over Gameiro's transfer. "Paris Saint-Germain are committed to respecting the rules of courtesy and professionalism during transfer talks. When it comes to the transfer of a player, it's legitimate to ask for a bank guarantee from the buying club," a statement on the club's official website reads. "If difficulties arise, we will look for an alternative payment method. This is what happened in the case of Kevin Gameiro's transfer. PSG have done everything to facilitate this transfer and allow Sevilla to complete the deal quickly."
